Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves

Just the other day I learned that, a minister had been “charged” with allegedly embezzling money from a grant-funded program that housed homeless men. What was more disturbing for me was all the negative comments. One person went so low as to call this minister, who had done a great deal of good for others and the community, a scumbag. It is amazing how quickly people feel justified to stand in judgment of others. Mind you, the minister was charged with “allegedly embezzling”,  not convicted;he had not had his date in court. When he does, even if found guilty we should maintain a sense of respect.

I titled this post Integrity because I believe integrity not only has to do with the action of the person whose life is under the magnifying glass, but those who are looking through that magnifying glass. I came across this quote and it made me realized that humans have not evolved very much at all when it comes to integrity. “Judge not your neighbor till you’ve been in his place – Hiller (1st cent. B.C.)”

For those of you reading the CrimeDiva’s blog if you have not read our mission statement, please do so. We are not here to belittle anyone, but to try to prevent people, particularly women, from committing white-collar crimes.
