Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves
Today’s CrimeDiva, Denise Heffner, 49, of Fond du Lac, WI has been illegally dipping her hands in the business money pot since 2005 and was finally caught in 2013 when the company file a formal complaint. She has been convicted of embezzling more than $253,000 after admitting she transferred money to herself without the owner’s permission. Ms. Heffner faces up to 10 years in prison.
There was not a lot of information available at the time of this posting on this case. I am assuming this is a federal case, since the embezzling had to do with the transfer of funds from one bank account into another, which is wire fraud and usually involves the federal government.
“. . . . This morning as I was doing my research for this post I noticed there were hundreds of new cases involving women in white-collar crimes . . . . It made me somewhat angry, because we are not doing a good enough job informing women to not cross the line into a life of crime and informing them of the unspeakable damage it will cause them and their love ones. I am again asking you to tell as many females as possible about this blog site – CrimeDivas.wordpress.com or http://www.CrimeDivas.com. Maybe we can reach someone who is hiding this secret crime they are committing, or stop someone who maybe thinking of committing a white-collar crime. What say you?!?
It is now cold outside and since we are spending less time doing activities why not get more insight on what’s making women commit white-collar crime. Have you read “Password?” It’s free to Kindle Prime members and only a few dollars for everyone else. This is a true story about a young college student who crosses the line of fun and games with her computer to committing a serious crime that puts her future in jeopardy. Read an excerpt by clicking on the book cover or the name.
The mission of this site is to prevent professional, educated, and career-minded females from committing white-collar crimes; to educate, and confabulate with others who have an interest in this epic situation and who has a desire to make a difference.
