Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves
Today’s CrimeDivas, Diane Glatfelter, 48, of Billerica, CA was convicted on four counts of wire fraud after a five-day jury trial. Ms. Glafelter was indicted back in 2012. I don’t know why it has taken this long for her case to come to trial, but at any rate, it is not good because she took her case to trial and unfortunately lost.
According to the records, Ms. Glatfelter conned a real-estate businessman, between 2007 and 2008, out of $125,000 after promising to help him secure a $20 million loan for a development project.
The records indicate that Ms. Glatfelter used the money for other purposes and never secured the loan and had set up two fake companies to make herself appear legitimate. She faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each of the four counts.
