Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves

Black Man, White Woman, Mississippi Bribe Case!

Today’s bad girl CrimeDiva, Edna Goble, 67, of Asheville North Carolina was sentenced to 30 months in prison for paying bribes to a former school superintendent. Check the photos out, sends all kinds of thoughts through your mind. In the photo is the former school superintendent Harvey Franklin who was sentenced to 76 months in prison for accepting $49,000 in bribes and kickbacks from his former colleague, Ms.Goble. A black man and a white woman in . . . Mississippi conspiring to commit a crime where she benefited  over a million dollars and he only received $49,000 . . . wow! I am going to leave all my curious thoughts to myself….do you have them too?

According to records, Ms. Goble owned a company called EDNA, for Early Detection Necessary Action, a reading program, which provided training and supplies for kindergarten through third grade. Greenville  was the only school district in Mississippi using EDNA. Ms. Goble initially pleaded not guilty, but after a pled agreement, she changed her plead to guilty to one count of conspiracy to pay bribes in connection with federal program funds. There was no sense in continuing the lie after Mr. Franklin was found guilty and sentenced to prison. Isn’t it interested that he got all that time for $49,000 and she got away with over a million. Many will say he got the time because of his position of trust. . . . In Mississippi? . . . . With a white female?

The records alleges that Ms. Goble purchased cashier’s checks through her business and used them to pay for improvements to Mr. Franklin’s home and tuition for his children. Additional, she paid off a truck loan and his credit card debts. This all occurred between  May 2010 and May 2011.

Now . . . I wonder how the authority got wind of that information?!? I bet a juicy story is brewing underneath.
