Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves
I have been posting on this blog for a little over a year and I can’t believe how many legal cases I am still reading about concerning professional females committing white-collar crimes. Come on . . . we are not doing our jobs. Do me a favor, tell someone (female) today about this site? We can put a big dent in this if we share our knowledge with each other.
Today’s bad girl Crimediva, Monique S. Murdock, 45, of Fort Washington, Md. was sentenced to nine months for embezzling $29,000 from Nia Community Public Charter School where she was the executive director. The crime was stated to occurred during 2006-2008 (See how these situations can come back and haunt you).
According to records, Ms. Murdock pled guilty to the charge after making a deal that dropped another criminal charge that she allegedly misused a company’s credit card for personal use ($11,000 in gift cards), at another job she secured after leaving the charter school.
[This was really a bad decision!!!! She took probably less than half of what she earned as the executive director of the school, now she has to pay back $40,000, plus the money she is out of for the attorney, go to prison for nine months-that true time – no getting out early, be on supervised release for three years, in addition; losing her job, she will find it hard to get a job with a criminal record that will follow her all her life, not to mention the shame and embarrassment she has to live with…for $40,000. Even if it was $4,000,000 it is not worth one day of your freedom ladies].
