Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves

Tangled lies!

aus bank     I know it’s hard when you are confronted with something you have done wrong, but it doesn’t benefit you when you try to cover-it up or lie it away; nothing good come from that. Today’s CrimeDiva, Olusola Idowu, 57, of Hagerstown, was convicted of two counts of wire fraud in connection of fraudulently obtaining more than $1.1. million in loans, bankruptcy fraud, and filing a false tax return.

There was so much transgression going on in this case I nearly got tangled trying to make sense of it.

Apparently, Ms. Idowu was the owner of SSS Nutrition and Dietetic Care Services. According to the records, Ms. Idowu filed a Chapter 13, bankruptcy petition, then she turned around and asked for it to be dismissed, that was granted. She then applied and received a $400,000 loan from Option One Mortgage to buy a house. She lied and claimed her son was a nutritionist at her place of business and that she paid him $10,000 a month, and had $100,000 in the bank. On the same day, she received two bridge loans from Hyattsville Properties LLC, for $85,000 and $50,000. A few months later she received two more loans from the same company for $14,000 and $50,000.

Shortly afterward, she received the order vacating the order dismissing her bankruptcy petition. Then she turned around and falsely testified in bankruptcy court that she had filed corporate tax returns.

She apparently, received another loan for $512,550 from another mortgage company, but faslely stated her son was again a nutritionist with her company and was paid $11, 000 monthly and had $138,000 in the bank. She then filed her taxes and claimed her son as a dependent and reported his income was only $19,000 for that year. Can you see where all these lies are tangled and about to chock her.

Unfortunately, this diva took this case to trial [five days of it], and you know by now what happened, she was convicted, and sentenced to 46 months in prison.
