Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves
“America the beautiful, land of the free and the brave.”
For many people throughout the world coming to America is like going to heaven. And for those that do come many desire to make this their country. But, as we all know there’s a process for that to occur and unfortunately everyone do not get a visa or green card to stay. In desperation some immigrants turn to the wrong people for assistance such as those that were misled by today’s CrimeDiva, Evelyn Sineneng-Smith, 66, of San Jose, CA.
A jury convicted, Ms. Sineneng-Smith, of three counts of encouraging and inducing illegal immigration for private financial gain and three counts of mail fraud. Apparently, Ms. Sineneng-Smith was running a multimillion dollar racket preying on Filipino immigrants and charging them nearly $6,000 each to file applications for a visa while knowing that the law had changed, and that they did not qualify under existing immigration regulations to obtain lawful permanent residence. Ms. Sineneg-Smith encouraged these people to stay in the United States after their tourist visas expired and work illegally in residential health care facilities.
She faces up to twenty years for each count, $250,000 in fines and restitution.
For me this is hard to swallow, first this woman is 66 years old that disturbs me that this elderly woman was committing such a crime and to these people who dreams were shattered and I’m sure are deported, or on their way to being deported. We have to do a better job at encouraging people to stay away from crime it is not worth everything that is/will be lost.
The mission of this site is to prevent professional, educated, and career-minded females from committing white-collar crimes; to educate, and confabulate with others who have an interest in this epic situation and who has a desire to make a difference.
