Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves
“Get money. Get it quickly. Get it in abundance. Get it in prodigious abundance. Get it dishonestly if you can, honestly if you must.”
What a very disturbing statement, even more so by a well-known writer of the past. But, it seems to be the way so many people think in these modern days. I do not say this to affirm the guilt of any of those that are posted on this blog or anywhere in particular. Because, my heart weeps for the women and their families that are going through these life changing ordeals.
Today’s CrimeDiva is Cindy Lee Berry, 44, of Harris County, Texas. Ms. Berry has been charged and arrested for allegedly embezzling nearly $200,000 from the Johnston Well Water Company where she was trusted to handle the account receivable and payable ledgers.
It is stated that Ms. Berry had worked for the company a short time and in less that a year an a half she had allegedly stolen nearly $200,000. The owners felt betrayed and are speaking out to warn other companies to watch their businesses.
Ms. Berry is facing up to 20 years in prison and has a civil lawsuit filed against her by the owners.
Have you told someone about this site? If not, why not? White-collar crimes are a secret to the person that is committing the crime ‘family and friends.’ Tell someone about this site, you may just be saying them from themselves. DeVine
