Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves
Our CrimeDiva today is Linda Gomez, a 66 years-old woman of Los Gatos, CA. It seems that she had a thing for shopping. The lure of shopping on television has gotten many people in financial trouble. We have to be carefull of the things we covers, otherwise it leads to trouble such as in Ms. Gomez case. She pleaded guilty to 14 counts of wire fraud and three counts of mail fraud, which she stole over $100,000 from Holy Names of Jesus and Mary Catholic Convent where she worked.
Ms. Gomes worked in the office and used her various positions to embezzle cash and charge personal expenses to a convent charge card. She purchased things like: Jewelry, high-end cutlery and other items from QVC and the Home Shopping Network.
That’s a lot of un-necessary things for a lot of money and unfortunately Ms. Gomez will have to pay for it with her freedom.
Think about the BIG picture before you venture into something illegal, the end is always the same.
The mission of this site is to prevent professional, educated, and career-minded females from committing white-collar crimes; to educate, and confabulate with others who have an interest in this epic situation and who has a desire to make a difference.
