Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves

Technology Company out of Half-a-Million!

“There seems no plan because it is all plan; there seems no center because it is all center – C.S. Lewis

Today’s Crime Divas is Erica l. Mansfield. Her age was not disclosed, but she’s charged with embezzling from Aspen Technological, a consulting company where she was hired as a part-time administrative assistant.

It is alleged that she took over $465,000, over a period of several years starting back in 2008. They suspect that the embezzling may have started back in 2006 when she was hired, but the investigation could not secure information from the bank of activities prior to 2008. “Interesting – no bank records!”

Ms. Mansfield allegedly forged checks and deposited them in her bank account. The money has been spent, of course. She could face up to 20 years in prison upon conviction.

I believe we are seeing a pattern here. Should one person be left unchecked in these kinds of positions? What are your thoughts?
