Female White-Collar Crime Divas-Mordern Day Thieves

Former City Council Released From Prison

monica-conyersMonica Conyers; she was a former Detroit City Council member and former president pro temp-ore of the Detroit City Council. The former council woman was convicted of taking cash bribes in fast-food parking lots. The Disgraced Detroit City Councilwoman Monica Conyers, wife of House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers, spent 27 months, incarcerated at a West Virginia federal detention center , which also once housed Martha Stewart, and was just released from prison to a half-way house in the Detroit area.

The reason Monica Conyers made the Crime Divas’ list was because of the position she had as an elected official, the fact that she used her position, money was involved and there was a fall from grace. As you can see from the Welcome posting she fit the profile.
This post is not intended to further disgrace her, but to show others how easy it is to fall into the greed and power trap. I wish Mrs. Conyers the best and would love to talk to her to help stop this madness.
